FROM SERVING CUSTOMERS TO SERVING COMMUNITIES
While my love for nature is profound, my primary concern lies with the people around me. Our lives are intricately interconnected with nature and each other, yet we’ve distanced ourselves.
Recently, I was reminded of this bond during a visit to a wooded area on the edge of a cool wetland in Maine. There, I observed not just one tree, but many trees growing together. This phenomenon, known as inosculation, is a natural occurrence and symbolizes how the forest heals its wounds.
This experience reminded me that we cannot heal our wounds in isolation. Conservation is not only about preserving nature, it is also about restoring our communities.
Inosculation is the only way forward and I am determined to build a career as a marketer or communicator in Conservation.
WHO I AM
A career quiz once told me I am Careworker. It explains, “You put your skills to use keeping our communities and our relationships with each other healthy. You have a deep love and respect for all people and you believe that healing our relationships to our bodies, our minds, and to each other is the most critical part of solving the crisis we face.”
WHAT I DO
I measure my success by the relationships I’ve built and nurtured. With over two decades in Marketing and years of dedicated volunteering, I’ve consistently delivered results. My track record features record-breaking client retention, recognition for my commitment to various causes, and even the honor of being in my intern’s wedding.
